Pathfinder Assessment

Who It's for
You're not sure what you're working with, you've received a proposal or deliverable you can't evaluate on your own, or you want an honest outside perspective before making a significant technology decision.
Investment:
$1,500 — $2,500

Description:

If you have a software situation you don't fully understand — a stalled project, a vendor proposal you can't evaluate, a decision you need to make but don't have the information to make confidently — this is where we begin.

I spend one to two weeks getting a clear picture of where you actually stand. That means a structured conversation with you, a review of whatever documentation exists, and an honest written assessment of what you're working with: the risks, the gaps, the quick wins, and what I'd recommend doing next.

Most clients find this useful on its own. Many go on to a retainer engagement after seeing what it surfaces.

What's Included:

  • 90-minute discovery session — structured conversation covering your tools, vendors, team, goals, and budget
  • Research and review of any existing documentation — contracts, vendor proposals, project specs, prior assessments
  • Written assessment report (4 to 8 pages) — current state, identified risks, prioritized recommendations, and a suggested path forward
  • Vendor or tool scorecard if applicable — a simple comparison of what you're using or considering
  • 30-minute debrief call — we walk through the report together and you can ask anything
  • Next steps memo — 3 to 5 concrete actions you can take immediately, regardless of whether we continue working together
